Online Privacy & Safety policy

Use secure connections: Always join classes on a trusted Wi‑Fi network, not public hotspots.

Update devices regularly: Keep phones, tablets, and computers updated to protect against security risks.

Privacy: Keep personal information private (name, address, phone number, passwords).  Use strong passwords and don’t share them with friends

Have camera awareness: Only turn on your camera when needed, and make sure your background is appropriate.

Respect digital boundaries: Don’t send friend requests or private messages to instructors or classmates unless approved by parents/guardians.

Posting & Sharing: Ask a parent or guardian before posting photos or videos or sending them to anyone. Have a parent review what you are sending before you send it.

Think before you click: Avoid clicking on unknown links or downloading files from strangers. Stick to safe spaces approved by parents or teachers

Log out after class: Especially important if you’re using a shared or public device.

Parental supervision: Younger dancers should have a parent nearby during online sessions. Have open communication about classes and dance challenges. If something feels wrong or uncomfortable, tell a trusted guardian.

Positive digital footprint: Remember that what you post online can last a long time. Be kind and respectful. Follow the golden rule.

Online Safety Guidelines

First and foremost, be a good human being please. We all look to each other as role models. Please be a good example in your speech & conduct on and off line. Use nicknames or initials in class when in an online class. Kids don’t need to display their full names on screen.  Check your surroundings & make sure the camera doesn’t show private spaces (like bedrooms) or personal items. Mute when not speaking keeps classes safe, focused, and respectful. We strongly encourage Parents to set parental controls and set filters or limits on devices to block unsafe sites. Use two‑factor authentication whenever possible. This adds an extra layer of security to accounts so they’re harder to hack. Please report concerns quickly. If something inappropriate happens in the chat community or in a lesson, video, or post please let us know right away. We encourage and promote digital balance. Encourage kids to take breaks from screens — safety also means healthy habits.

Dance Class Dress Code Policy

Our dress code is designed to keep dancers safe, comfortable, and free to move, while ensuring attire is age‑appropriate and supports proper technique. These guidelines apply to in‑person classes, live online classes, and on‑demand sessions.

General Dress Code Principles

Clothing must allow full range of motion without restriction. Attire should be securely fitted to avoid tripping, slipping, or distraction. All dancewear must be age‑appropriate in coverage and style. Hair should be styled away from the face to maintain visibility and focus. Jewelry should be kept to a minimum for safety. Footwear must match the style of dance and be in good condition.

Live Online Class & in person classes Dress Code

Live online & in person classes require attire that is safe, visible on camera, and easy to move in. Wear fitted dancewear in a color that contrasts with your background, along with leggings, shorts, or a leotard that allows full movement; choose footwear that matches your flooring—such as socks on carpet or sneakers on wood—and keep your hair pulled back so instructors can clearly see your alignment.

Safety Notes

Choose a space free of clutter. Avoid slippery socks on hard floors. No oversized clothing that could catch on furniture

On‑Demand Dance Class Guidelines

On‑demand classes give dancers flexibility, but the right attire still improves technique and prevents injury. Recommended dance wear includes comfortable, fitted clothing that allows you to see your own alignment, Supportive tops for older dancers, leggings or shorts that won’t ride up or restrict movement & appropriate footwear for the style (or barefoot if safe)

 Tips for the Best Experience

Wear colors that help you see your body lines clearly and avoid loose sweatpants or baggy shirts that hide posture; tie back long hair to maintain visibility, keep a water bottle nearby, and always test your flooring to avoid slippery surfaces. If you’re practicing turns, choose footwear that allows controlled rotation so you can move safely and confidently

Additional Notes: If a dancer’s attire is unsafe or inappropriate, instructors may ask for an adjustment before participating. Parents and guardians are encouraged to help younger dancers prepare their dancewear before class, and throughout all programs, comfort and safety always come first.
